Legacy Healthcare Careers, a small family-owned school in the Mid Cities area, has an affordable phlebotomy technician training program that is affordable. The coursework associated with this occupational training program teaches students the practical skills and theoretical knowledge in technical and procedural aspects of basic phlebotomy tasks such as the micro collection of blood specimens and venipuncture. The phlebotomy technician training program at Legacy Healthcare Careers enables students to acquire direct hands-on experience in blood withdrawal skills from day one. In addition, students who graduate from this program are eligible to take a comprehensive exam that, if passed, leads directly to national phlebotomy certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) and/or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

The phlebotomy technician training program’s classes are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays, thereby allowing most students to keep their full time jobs while they attend medical training classes at Legacy Healthcare Careers.

  1. Does this require high school or GED? I hope not I’m really interested and I’ve tried so hard to get my ged and it’s just been miserable without any kind of teacher or tutoring I’m 33 and would like to finally have a career in this and also cna I’m currently working at an assisted living facility and I’m just ready to move up!!!
